The OLLI at OU website does not track any of the users of the site. There are no ads, tracking cookies or any other electronic method of tracking.

The website does, however, record that a browser has come to the OLLI website as well as what pages they visit. However this information is not tied to a user in anyway and is simply recorded as a “hit” or visit to that particular page, not who visited the page.

Membership information is maintained by the OLLI at OU staff when a member signs up for membership, joins our postal mailing list or registers for a course.

Your personal information, such as name, address or telephone number are never shared with any third party.

Accessibility Policy

The OLLI at OU website is an accessible website and complies with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act as well as Oklahoma Electronic Information Technology Accessibility (EITA) Act.

In addition, this website complies with the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG 2.0).  This site conforms to WCAG Level A, and WCAG Level AA guidelines.

Additionally, this website meets WCAG Level AAA guidelines with the following exceptions:

  • 1.4.8 Visual Presentation
    • Foreground and background text cannot be altered via webpage mechanism. However, all modern browsers support high-contrast user style sheets.
  • 3.1.3 Unusual Words
    • Technical jargon and idioms are not individually defined, and are assumed to be known by the target audience.
  • 3.1.5 Reading Level
    • Content Reading Level contains terms that are more advanced than lower secondary educational level.
  • 3.1.6 Pronunciation
    • There is no mechanism in-page for identifying pronunciation for unusual words.
  • 3.3.5 Help
    • This website does not contain comprehensive context-sensitive help.

Both the HTML and the CSS have had their validation confirmed by the W3C, with certain exceptions in the CSS to accommodate older, invalid parsing browsers.
